About
Tailored in Mannargudi.
Radha Apparels makes men's blazers, formal wear and custom clothing from a single shop and workshop in Mannargudi, Tamil Nadu.
What we do
We make blazers, suits, formal shirts and trousers to measure, alongside wedding and groom wear, alterations, and bulk orders for companies and institutions. Fabric is part of the service rather than something you source separately.
The work starts from a body rather than a size chart. That is the whole difference, and it is why the shoulder — the one part of a jacket that cannot meaningfully be altered afterwards — is the part we spend the most time on.
Measurements kept on record
Customer measurements are recorded and kept, so a second order does not begin from zero. Once a pattern fits, later garments can be ordered by fabric and style alone. Those records are personal data: they are held for your convenience, kept confidential, and removed on request.
Where we work
Our shop and tailoring workshop are in Mannargudi. Customers from across the delta region — Thiruvarur, Thiruthuraipoondi, Muthupet, Pattukottai, Kumbakonam and Thanjavur — come to us there. We do not operate branches in those towns.
Custom orders can also be placed remotely, using measurements taken at home or an existing garment that already fits as the reference.
How a Radha garment is made
-
Consultation
What the garment is for, where you will wear it and for how long at a time.
-
Measurement
Measurements taken and recorded, along with posture and shoulder observations that no tape captures.
-
Fabric selection
Weight, weave and composition chosen for the climate and the occasion before colour is discussed.
-
Cutting
The pattern is drafted and the cloth cut in our Mannargudi workshop.
-
Fitting
The garment is tried on while it can still be changed.
-
Finishing and pressing
Construction completed, then shaped by pressing — the step that decides how a garment reads.
-
Collection or dispatch
Collected from the shop, or packed and sent for remote orders.
The Journal
We publish the Radha Journal — a men's formal wear knowledge hub covering fit, fabric, tailoring and occasion dressing. It exists because most of the questions we answer in the shop are the same questions, and they deserve a proper answer rather than a two-minute one across a counter.
